Lupe was born in Caracas, Venezuela where she started playing tennis at 9 years old. Since then, she developed a special love and caring for the sport that she shared with her family and friends. After arriving in the USA, her interest intensified which led her to become a tennis coach. She has been coaching for more than 12 years tennis at High Schools and clubs in the area. This along with her school teaching skills have allowed her to develop a special rapport with her students, which she believes is one of the most important pieces to the development of junior players, interest, and motivation.
What she likes most about the tennis is that you can enjoy it, no matter what level and age you start playing it at. Regardless of whether you are social, competitive, or both she loves to teach. The most rewarding part of coaching tennis for her is when she sees her students grow and stay interest in the sport, especially as young players become a part of their schools' teams and later on as tennis becomes a part of their lifestyles.
In addition to her responsibilities as a professional coach at Tennis Match Academy, Lupe is the Head Coach at Gwynedd Mercy HS Academy (Girls) and Germantown Academy (Boys).
