In Jae's 20's he studied to become an Architectural Engineer. The discovery of tennis moved him in a completely different direction. The sense of how one could use one's knowledge and will to overcome highly skilled opponents lead to him to wanting to become a tennis teaching professional.

Jae is an extremely caring, conscientious and inspiring tennis coach. His energy and enthusiasm on and off the court  is exemplary……….

Jae’s love for tennis truly started in high school. Enjoying the sport from the start of his career, at age 17, he played on his high school tennis team and continued to play for fun in Pennsylvania where he gave lessons and taught tennis students how to find enjoyment in the sport. In the process of acquiring a civil engineering degree from Penn State University, Jae took a break and in 2012 acquired his USPTR license to further his coaching career.

For Jae the most rewarding part of being a coach is seeing a student realize their potential the moment they connect with the ball and see it accurately soaring to the other side. Throughout Jae’s experiences in the tennis world he has realized that the most fulfilling part of tennis happens once the student is able to execute an efficient stroke and have an understanding of what tennis is all about.

Jae has worked at various locations in the Greater Philadelphia area and from 2012 to 2013 coached at Cheltenham Club. In the fall of 2013 Jae joined the staff at Upper Dublin Sports Center and has continued to instruct students and encourage enjoyment within the game.
