Registration procedure and information:

Returning Player: If your child has been approved for the appropriate class/day OR if you have been informed, you can proceed to sign up, by completing the online registration form. If you are unsure about which class level is best for your child, please contact Keith, at  215-696-3906 or email, TMA@upperdublinsportscenter.com

All returning players will receive an email about approved class options for your child. 

New to our Junior Programs: If your child is a new player to our junior programs or you would like to learn more about our programs and options for your child, please contact Huibri, TMA@upperdublinsportscenter.com or 215-290-1181.

PROGRAM PATHWAY

Each Program has a color to make it easier for you to find days and times on our schedule.

There is a corresponding instructional match play for every program. Each group is designed to teach specific components of the game.  Coaches may use multiple different ball types to help players build skills.

Ages 4 - 6

Court Kids, is designed to jump start a child's sporting life with tennis activities. Players will engage in a fun, energetic game-based partner activity to develop fundamental motor and tennis skills. Through these theme-based activities players will develop basic sending, receiving, and racquet handling skills as well as their ABCs (Agility, Balance, Coordination).

FUTURE STARS

Ages 6 - 8

In Future Stars, players are introduced to serve, rally and score skills. Players will continue to work on tracking/reception skills, moving into effective hitting positions, and directing the ball to certain areas of the court. This class will continue to build a solid and strong overall athletic and technical base.

Competition and Play Options:

Future Stars participants have the option to attend competition days, Team Challenges. We encourage players to take advantage of these play options for a healthy intro to competition and to also showcase their skills.

Ages 6 - 8

Players in Future Stars + have demonstrated basic serve, rally and score competencies. The class continues to refine strokes and working on more advanced reception skills along with developing consistency, directional control and starting to build a tactical udnerstanding of the game.

Players will be transitioning and learning to play on a bigger size court while also using red and orange balls.

Competition Options for FS+ Players:

We offer Team Tennis Competitions for FS+ players. This is a great opportunity to play different competition formats in a team tennis environment and apply what players learned during their lessons. These are offered twice within a session.

Ages 11 & under

A great balance of nurturing into competition

Continues to develop technique and strategy and introduces newer and existing players in a competitive supportive and fun environment.

The only day this group does not have an option is Thu. Our UT  instructional match play meets on a Saturday 3:30 - 5pm which is a great way to connect the they are learning.

Instructional matchplay is a great option for players of all levels who are looking to apply their tennis skills in real competitive matches. Players are always paired with peers of similar age and level, with the benefit of receiving constructive advice and feedback from tennis professionals. Additionally, the intensity and focus of Matchplay adapts to the level of the participant.

The ED stands for Early Developers. Players have thickened their skin and are preparing for higher level competition.

Players are adjusting to  winning and losing and are ready to challenge themselves with more advanced techniques.

Ultimate Select is a very popular program for players seeking to play competitively on teams but would like a better understanding of strokes and strategies to build confidence necessary to handle the competitive environment they are headed towards. A number of players are already on Middle School, JV or lower varsity teams and aspiring toward becoming more competitive.

For advanced juniors competing in USTA tournaments and/or playing top

singles positions in high school 

TMA's highest Junior Group - 19 players from the program have gone on to be student-athletes at Universities across the country in the last 4 years. Players should have a sectional or national ranking.
